I disagree with this because girls shouldn't be able to wear stuff like that. the limits to what we wear dont have to be THAT strict but we should NOT be able to wear just whatever we want. we dont want our school to be represented in that way. i think what girls wear now is fine and the dress code should stay the same except for the shorts length. shorts just shouldn't show your butt cheeks. the thumb rule is not fair because some girls just have really long arms. some girls will say "you shouldn't judge someone based on what they wear" but honestly im not trying to be mean but it is true that if you wear crop tops and shorts that show your butt you will not be respected and if you want to be respected you should wear something more modest because i dont want to hang out with people who wear stuff like that.  dont want to be considered part of that group. im modest and i dont want people to think im like... that... wearing these ugly cloths dont tell me about the person you are but if you wear them then you are not who i wanna hang out with. you intimidate me, make me feel uncomfortable, make me feel depressed, sickened, disgusted, and many more. the boys actually do get distracted by this. also, why do you want to wear that to school anyways? do you want the boys to look at you like that? that's nasty and i dont know why girls do this. its not cute, its not fashionable, its not modest, its gross and nasty and omg just ew... no.. stop wearing high waisted shorts and srop tops nobody wants to see our stuff so just wear anything else. wear a clown suit to school if yuou want i dont care just dont wear booty shorts or crop stops. i normally dont just people who dress differently. im okay with any kind of clothing but i cant stand crop tops or booty shorts. im telling you they are so gross. i cant even explain it. it makes me sick to my stomach omg omg omg omg omg omg omg i hate this topic dont even.... just.... omg no. if high school students are mature enough to make their own clothing choices then they wont choose to wear those nasty cloths. that fact that they want to wear that proves that they are not mature enough to pick what they wear. i want to see a day when we can wear whatever we want and nobody wears anything too showy or disrespectful to their own bodies. that is Gods temple and you are trying to flaunt it? that's horrible why would you even do that? so boys will look at you? no!!!! stop!!! you are terring boys educations apart. to me this is worst than cutting yourself and that is really bad. your hurting yourself because you are giving yourself a bad image and people will think you are trashy because that's just how society is. you can argue and complain about how society is so mean and stupid but really there is nothing you can do about it because society dosent even give a chicken about what you think. they are not doing it to hurt you but when people see you wearing these things the first thing they think is "um... yeah i dont think i want to hang out with her. shes trashy and obviously dosent wanna respect herself" and if you dress like that you will not find friends/boyfriends who truly love you and think you are smart, kind, and beautiful... they may say they love you for those reasons but i think we all know that is a huge lie. so if you are desperate and for some reason you want a guy to like you for you, try dressing modest and trust me you will find someone who dosent just like you because u dress like that. however being desprate is not a good thing try to avoid that please for your own good. i dont go home and think about how stupid booty shorts are all day and stuff because that would be really odd and i honestly dont give a cows tail about what you do with your body but its very disturbing and i hate it when i see it and so do others. like, ew,. please, no, just stop, go away. okay this is making me angry thinking about it so i guess i will stop now i have said enough. this world is full of nasty people who do nasty things and i will not be part of that. nasty nasty nasty

This weekend i had a new friend over. it was really fun and i got to know her a lot better. then i had a old friend over from my old school and we had a really good time also. we got to catch up with eachother and talk about old times. then we played our favorite video game (minecraft). i live in Raymore missouri and also Overland Park Kansas. Raymore is really nice. all of the houses are neat and the people are all normal, polite, and respectful of other peoples property. we have a firework show every fourth of July and we are right down the street for a forest, a huge park with sports complexes in it, and a smaller park. walking around my neighborhood is very fun because i can walk around the fields, swing, climb a tree in the forest, or play tennis. there is a small area of the woods that the underbrush has been taken out from and it is really clear but there are still trees. in this area kids come and build big huts out of sticks. for some reason the floor of this area is COVERED with large sticks. i dont know why but it is so covered that it is hard to see the dirt underneath the sticks. there are about 5 really cool huts built there by other people. i have never seen these people but every time i go there i see a new hut. sometimes i build my own huts. there is a tree house that has a sign on it that says 4s tree house, no boys allowed on it. sometimes we climb up the side and sit on it. the tree house is not very good... it is just a bunch of wooden boards nailed to the branches... but it is really cool. some day i went there with my friend Lizzy and all around the tree house we say shaving cream EVERYWHERE! the bottles were laying on the ground and on the bottles instead of it saying "shaving cream" someone had taped paper on it that said "zombie sure"! it was really cool. looks like someone had a zombie apocalypse shaving cream fight. this gave us the idea to have our own shaving cream fight. i bought a lot of shaving cream, glow sticks, and silly string. i invited 4 friends over and we went to the cleared part of the woods where the huts are and we had a shaving cream war when it got dark. it was really cool and we were all covered in a thick layer of shaving cream. then we went to the park (its really close by) and we waved to everyone we say. they all laughed when they saw us. we went home and washed off in the sprinkler then we had a shower party. dont worry, shower parties are not what you think they are. We all stay in our cloths and get in a large shower. (no nudity) we take turns washing our hair and stuff its not that weird. it was really fun to do this. Another time i went for a walk with my friends at night and two of them wanted to ding dong ditch someone. me and my other 3 friends did not want to be part of this so we stayed out of it. they rang the doorbell and jumped behind the ladies bush. she came out and started yelling. she spotted my two friends and began to cry and curse at them. she threatened to call the cops but she dident. i was mad at my friends for doing it because i thought it was a bad idea in the first place.  i have had many more fun times with my friends in that neighborhood such as my neighbors crazy sleepover birthday party, the firework show wit my 7 friends, and playing basketball with my dad and winning every game. yes i used to live in Kansas City but i moved to overland park. I dident like Kansas City very much because there was a lot of crime, not very many neighbors my age, houses arnt as nice, and i lived across from a creepy graveyard. i like Overland Park a lot better i think it is great and i love it here.

Tell me about your Homecoming weekend! If you didn't participate in the Homecoming festivities, what did you do? Share pics!

Well i went to the homecoming dance (my first high school dance!) and it was really fun. i got ready at a friends house and that was really fun. We went to the dance and split up. i hung out with my friends and we danced. i ate a cookie and it was good. i gave my friend a ride home and thanked her for letting me come over. for the rest of the weekend i just slept a lot and was lazy as usual. we got the news that we had sold our house and will soon be moving onto that cool house on 6 acres of land. im really excited

Today in Emerging Technology 

I think they should make the classes bigger so that more students can get into the class they want. i couldent get into computer apps or Spanish because the classes were full.

My favorite apps are ifunny, instagram, snapchat, kik, minecraft, and facebook. i like these apps because they are fun and help me connect with the outside world.

i use email to talk to my teachers and that is pretty much all, but i also use it when i need an email to make accounts for things suck as instagram or facebook.

Now that you've been in Emerging Technology for several weeks... what do you think? Do you think the web tools (Drive, Evernote, Bubbl, etc.) are helpful to you? Do you think they will be helpful throughout high school or even college? Explain.

Okay so i really like these sites because i think having them around will help me with future assignment. after i was introduced to blogging from this class i went on to create  my own blogs at home that u use regularly. i think it is really fun to write so i enjoy blogging and i am really glad i was introduced to it at this time because it has taught me so much. bubbl.us will be good to  use in the future when i need to put together a outline for a speech or essay. that's all i have to say.

Do you enjoy writing? When do you enjoy it? What kind of writing do you enjoy? Why do you think the ability to write is so important no matter what kind of writing it is? Give an example that you enjoyed writing or hated writing. Why?

I write a lot actually. none of my friends would predict that i like to write because i dont do well in school but sometimes when i get home i wright my feelings. i have multiple blogs other than this one- my school blog- that i use regularly. i write poems (they usually dont rhyme) but i think its really fun to make metaphors and put them in your writing. i have written many many many many scripts. i love to make story lines and i especially love to create characters and make them a personality and style. its very fun to create someone with your mind them write about them. its like you are building their life.. you create the world around them, the people they hang out with, even their feelings and what they say/do. i started writing at a very young age. i would write short stories and when i got older i would write books. right now i am currently working on a stop motion (claymation) movie. it will be in episodes (maybe about 5 episodes) it was fun to make the characters and bring them to life by writing a personality for them them putting them right into my script. i'm excited to see how that goes and knowing it is my first one i dont expect much but at least we will have fun doing it. i just got done picking voice actors to play their parts and they are excited to begin too. I love to act because the feeling of portraying someone else and being able to act a character out is great and that is why i love making scripts because i get to create the characters like they are real people. its cool dude

A lot of the time we don't study or prepare for what is to come. if we don't prepare to succeed we are preparing to fail because by not preparing at all we will fail. i am in this situation a lot because when i don't study i am preparing to fail. i fail when i don't study. yeah that's all i could think of.

Well in a lot of people need to do research information for a job or for assignments so it is good to learn how to get the right information and how to put it into your research well. i had a great English teacher who helped us with getting good information for our speeches. she would check every artical and tell us if it was a good resource of not and what sites are the best.  it was very helpful and still works for me today.

Todays post is that im going to pretend that i am i am old and i am going to complain about the kids these days.

          Kids these days are so spoiled. When i was a kid we had one phone in the house that everyone shared. Now, kids have there very own touch screens as young as 9 years old! They all are so consumed with technology that they cant enjoy the real world. They need to get involved with school and the great outdoors and not all of that facebook, instagram, and snaptex... or snapchat i don't know what its called. They are taking all of these.. what are they called? Selfies! and twerking all over the place. they wear cloths that in my time would be horrifying, but today it is not big deal. it seems like sometime in the future girls will be wearing bikinis everywhere they go! All of those crop tops and high waisted shorts are so ugly and tiny. They need to stop showing off their outer beauty and start working on their inner beauty because everyone knows whats on the outside dosent matter. At least that's what i think.

     My global issue is invaded privacy by the government. i know that the government (through NSA) can spy on any citizen straight through their smart phones. This is not only a issue in America but in many other countries this has become an issue. The government can see your pictures, messages, apps, and literally anything you have in your phone. They can even take a peek through your camera and see what you are doing or turn on your microphone and listen to you talk to your friend/mom/sibling and more. You phone does not even have to be on for them to be able to do this. They don't even have to use your phone it can be through your laptop or computer as well. There are also spy drones. These are kind of like remote control airplanes with cameras attached to them. They can be used to look through your window or take pictures or your house. The people are trying to protest this kind of invasion but the government continues to do it. This has turned into more than something used to protect the safety of the people.. this is now about just wanting to know everything about everyone and having the power to look into anyone's personal life or home. The government has the ability to know you better than you know yourself.. in fact they could be watching you or listening to you as you read this. This dosent seem like the land of the free anymore does it?

Thisweekend i did a lot of things, first i invited a few friends over but sadly they couldent come. The next day i had to watch my little sister and brother while my mom went to a baby shower. While my mom was gone i decided that i wanted to may a stop motion movie out of clay figures, so i researched how to make clay figures and i messaged my mom and asked her to pick me up some clay. She said she couldent because all of the craft stores were close and so said she would take me after school on Monday. But she came home and dropped off a lot of non dry clay, wire, and sculpting tools as a surprise. it was really cool and i started working on my first character immediately. I finished the character after 5 hours of hard work. It turned out pretty good considering the fact that i am a beginner. I still need to finish her outfit and give her some eyelids but that can be done quickly when i get home today. i drew a lot of pictures this weekend. i like to draw but usually i don't draw this much. i think i drew about 6-7 pictures this weekend in the style of Tim Burton. i really like Tim Burton's art because it gives me a whole new perspective of the world.

Blog Post of the Day:
Yesterday I asked your to "think differently" and push yourself to be uncommon with your PSA project using Google Slides. Why do you think I asked you to do that? What is the point? Why not just use bullets and headers? Explain.

       
                  Because using your imagination is very important. it s not always just about the information in your projects it is also the presentation. I think you realize more about yourself when  you use your imagination and you also learn more out of creativity than you do with bullets and information. You wanted us to make the assignment fun and entertaining to watch and also to display good and accurate information in the slides without using to many words. This was a fun project for me because it challenged me to make if fun a different than every else. you didn't want all of the project to say the same things and have the same pictures with the same boring colors and text. It had to be individualized and that is a good thing. It was a challenge but it was fun and worth while. Now here is a picture of Spongbob because he used his imagination a lot.

for labor day weekend i invited 6 friends from my old school over for a sleepover. i had been waiting all week to see them since i hadent seen them in months. i was getting ready an hour before my friends started to arrive when i got a text from three of my friends saying that they could not come to my party. i was really sad because i was really looking for them to come over but oh well at least i got to see 4 of them. they came over and it was great. we had a great time and we had a camp fire. since if rained we set up the tent in my basement and  slept there. it was a small tent so the 5 of us were kind of squished and it was really hot in there, but it was worth it because we stayed in the tent until 3 in the morning and talking and making jokes. We also watched Twilight and did commentary on it and that was really fun. we went for a walk to the park until dinner was ready and had a great time taking pictures for instagram and snapchat  it was the best and im really happy that got to see them again. i missed then alot and. Then last night i went to the Royals game with my parents and some of their friends. it was fun but we dident stay
for the entire time because we had school the next day but it was still fun. we worked on getting our house ready to sell because if we cant sell it in two months we arnt gonna be able to move into our new house. Im really excited for that.

I think that this message is terribly wrong.  i think children and teens need to use their imagination and explore to learn. People our age should not be expected to do so much work. it is good to do things like mow your lawn or help your single mother out with her 3 kids but also there should be time for sun and time for teens to be themselves and figure out who they really are. I know kids my age are still trying to figure out who they are and can get confused with all of the life changes going on. They need some time to relax and just think or listen to music or hang out with friends so they don't feel so alone in the world. i know sometimes i feel alone or i just want a break. That is when i call my friends over and they always bring out the best in my and help me know the person who i am. Teens can do chores for a little money to make an allowance an start to save up for a car or something important but they should not have to work quite as hard as adults with responsibilities and kids. If teens have a little freedom growing up then im sure they will become more responsible and smart in the future.  They need to figure things out for themselves while being who they are, they don't need a ton of responsibilities.

A PSA is a public server announcement to the public from a group or the government about something important. Normally broadcasted over the TV or the radio. They are used if there is something important that people need to know or if there is a crisis that the public needs to be warned about.

Blog Post of the Day:
After watching the short clip of Ashton Kutcher's acceptance speech what did you take away from his advice? What does this quote mean to you -"Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use."


I thought he had a really good  speech  and  it gives people  hope (especially his fans). It was really nice and inspiring. He told everyone to "build a life not live one" that really meant a lot to me because I think it is important to take charge of your own life and not just follow along. He had a great speech and I really liked hearing it. It made me happy and fell better about myself and the world.
